Descend into the underground and go on an expedition. Get ready for a mile-long adventure: feel and hear, see and experience! Stroll through the old tunnels, past challenging installations, all the way to the top of the highest pit tower in Belgium.

Start your visit to C-mine Expedition in the Energy Building, where you’ll discover surprising installations six meters underground. In the story pods, the stories of the mine come to life through animations, holograms, and virtual reality.
Roll up your sleeves in the interactive sound booth, create your own mining landscape, and take on the challenge in the maze. Can you find your way back to the surface?
The absolute highlight of the C-mine Expedition is climbing the authentic headframe, a staggering 60 meters high. Prefer something a bit lower? Then you can also stop at a height of 15 meters. Or would you rather keep both feet on the ground? That’s an option too.
Please note: as of September 2026, climbing the headframe will be temporarily unavailable due to renovation work. An additional experience will be offered soon at C-mine Expedition.

C-mine Expedition is open every day except Monday. If Monday is a holiday, you’re welcome to visit from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
